Level 2 Electrical Technicians will perform aircraft electrical assembly, installation, inspection, modification and repair tasks in accordance with engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications and retrofit requirements. Required Qualifications
- Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables and fiber optic wiring
- Understand routing instructions and proper handling of harnesses
- Perform sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes
- Perform assembly, installation, visual inspection of physical characteristics, modification of wire bundles and electrical assemblies, operational checks and quality checks of aircraft
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modifications and repairs
- Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modification and repair of electrical wiring
- Interpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal orders and electronic orders
- Interpret job layouts and related technical documentation
- Use all equipment in accordance with established safety and operating procedures
- Perform all tasks involved in the coordination, preparation and movement of material and tools
- Maintain necessary Boeing-administered certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work
- Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements
- Schedule may include weekends and holidays
- Mission requirements and/or workload may require scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- Ability to operate riding-type electric powered elevating equipment to complete work assignments
- Ability to troubleshoot organizational and depot maintenance level malfunctions in aircraft electrical systems
