Position Overview
The Compliance Specialist supports the onboarding and compliance process for field employees across STS Aviation Group divisions.
This position is responsible for processing new hire documentation, verifying previous employment and drug and alcohol history, coordinating required paperwork and helping ensure field employees meet applicable FAA, government and company requirements.
The Compliance Specialist also serves as a resource for internal staff and field employees regarding compliance documentation, training and problem-solving.

Schedule
- Full-time regular position
- Non-exempt hourly classification
- Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Two Saturdays per month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Position is subject to applicable overtime provisions under the Fair Labor Standards Act
- Process electronic onboarding documents for field employees across company divisions
- Coordinate required documentation for new hires
- Contact previous employers to verify employment history and job titles
- Complete previous drug and alcohol verification processes
- Ensure field employees complete required FAA, government and company pre-employment forms
- Ensure required background checks are completed
- Ensure permanent bar checks are completed in accordance with applicable FAA requirements
- Process employment verification requests for current and former field employees
- Process drug and alcohol verification requests for current and former field employees
- Complete and submit verification responses as required
- Serve as a resource for internal staff regarding compliance procedures and documentation
- Provide education, training and problem-solving support to field employees
- Maintain high standards of compliance with applicable federal aviation regulations
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- High school diploma required
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong typing skills with a high degree of data-entry accuracy
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multitasking environment
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and maintain focus
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to work effectively within a team
