Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision over assigned maintenance personnel and tasks.
- Ensure maintenance work and documentation comply with FAA regulations and customer maintenance programs.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and manage shift schedules.
- Evaluate and estimate labor and material costs for maintenance projects.
- Coordinate with other departments to align maintenance flow plans.
- Identify and address training needs, tooling requirements, and special equipment needs.
- Co-sign for maintenance performed by uncertificated personnel when required.
- Ensure proper execution and documentation of all work performed.
- Supervise unfamiliar personnel in proper methods, techniques, tools, and procedures.
- Maintain daily turnover reports to ensure shift-to-shift continuity.
- Maintain a clean, organized hangar and work environment at all times.
- Prior leadership experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station or equivalent environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance practices, and inspection procedures.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to evaluate labor, time, and resources for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
- Experience supervising uncertificated personnel under FAA regulations.
