Position Summary

SJJ K–8 School is seeking reliable, detail-oriented Maintenance Cleaning Team Members to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for daily custodial services, routine sanitation, and light facility upkeep during or after the school day.

We offer flexible scheduling with consistent Monday–Friday hours and no weekend shifts.

Available Shifts

• 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Mid-Day)
• 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM (After School)
• 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Evening)

Flexible scheduling is available. We are happy to work with candidates to create a schedule that fits their availability.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors and high-touch surfaces.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock school restrooms.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Assist with room setup and cleanup for school events and activities as needed.
• Follow safety procedures for cleaning products and equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, and supply needs promptly.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming school environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong attention to detail and dependable work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform routine custodial duties.
• Ability to operate or learn basic custodial equipment.
• Successful completion of required background checks.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.50 per hour
