STS Aerospace / Scotia Technology in Laconia, NH is searching for an Accounting Clerk, AP/AR to join the team. This position compiles, classifies, records, verifies, and maintains data and payments records. Must have the ability to timely and accurately perform various AP/AR functions using computer software. Must have excellent interpersonal skills in order to investigate and resolve AP/AR issues as they arise. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, sorts, copies, files, checks, correspondence, and other requested items.
- Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment.
- Prepares accounts payable checks.
- Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
- Answers accounts payable and receivable inquiries and follows up.
- Assists with related special projects, as required.
- Audits freight bills against freight manifests.
- Monitors accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in monthly and annual closings.
- Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay: From $21.65 per hour
