Stryten Energy, a new company name with a long history in Lancaster County, operates a growing plastic injection molding facility in West Lampeter Township. We produce plastic components for car batteries and have a stable and growing customer base.
As an EHS Technician you will be responsible for assisting the EHS Manager with the development and implementation of plant-wide team efforts in improving key performance indicators such as recordable injuries, lost time injuries, government compliance, and risk reduction. This position will help support accountability and guidance for plant staff, employees, visitors, and contractors in the safe and environmentally responsible ways to perform their jobs and the reduction of risk.
This is a 1st shift opening (Monday-Friday; 7am - 3pm)

- Performs various environmental, health and safety activities related to audits, incident investigation, communications and training
- Administers, organizes, and conducts training programs for environmental, health and safety
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection and inspections
- Maintains personal protective equipment inventory and ordering as needed
- Conducts workplace assessments to eliminate or reduce risk
- Perform weekly inspections of emergency and compliance related equipment
- Assist in root cause analysis
- Maintains monthly training records and facilitates make-up trainings.
- Collect data from reports to develop trends and assist with weekly reporting
- Interact with outside vendors as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Other tasks as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health or related field
- Zero to three years of experience in environmental, health and safety field
- HAZWOPER certification
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Well developed written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
