Stryker Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Technician to join our growing team. We work throughout the counties and surrounding areas of Hunterdon, Somerset, Warren, and Morris of New Jersey, in addition to some areas of eastern Pennsylvania.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of plumbing systems, excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing high-quality service in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
This position involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing plumbing systems for commercial and residential customers. The technician will respond to service calls, identify plumbing issues, recommend appropriate repairs, and complete work efficiently and professionally.

Experienced Plumbing Service Technician Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and equipment
- Respond to scheduled service calls and emergency plumbing service requests
- Identify the source of plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures, valves, piping, pumps, and related components
- Work with various piping materials, including copper, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, and steel
- Perform service work on water supply, drainage, waste, vent, and other plumbing systems
- Use plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding plumbing issues, recommended repairs, and completed work
- Provide clear and accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, job site, and company vehicle
- Follow all applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Coordinate with service managers, office staff, and other technicians as needed
- Complete service work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service
Experienced Plumbing Service Technician Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of plumbing service experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, repair methods, and service practices
- Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing plumbing problems independently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience with both commercial and residential plumbing service preferred
- Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings and specifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Journeyman plumbing license is preferred but not required
