Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises access control systems, and physical security measures to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems to identify suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Control access points by verifying identities, performing background checks when necessary, and managing entry logs for visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations by following established emergency response procedures, including administering first aid or CPR if needed.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, breaches, or unusual activities observed during shifts.
- Enforce security policies and regulations while managing conflicts through de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting incidents accurately.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology, CCTV operation, access control systems, and manual handling procedures.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use (if applicable), and fire safety are preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and maintain physical security through patrolling and physical presence.
- Strong communication skills for incident report writing, conflict de-escalation, and customer service interactions.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential.
- Must demonstrate reliability, attentiveness, and a proactive attitude toward maintaining safety standards.
