Sports Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic, young and dedicated Sports Coordinator to lead and manage a vibrant array of youth sports leagues (Flag Football, SOCCER, Baseball) and recreational activities at our facility. This role is vital in creating an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment for guests of all ages and skill levels. The Sports Coordinator will oversee event planning, facility operations, team management, and guest services, ensuring every activity runs smoothly and exceeds expectations. Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of youth sports leagues, tournaments, and recreational programs that promote active participation and community engagement.
• Manage daily operations of sports facilities, including scheduling, maintenance coordination, and ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Lead and develop a team of staff and volunteers by providing clear guidance, training, and motivation to deliver exceptional guest services.
• Oversee budget management for events and programs, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Implement safety procedures such as water safety instruction, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and first aid readiness to guarantee participant safety at all times.
• Foster excellent customer service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat participation.
• Collaborate with external vendors or partners to enhance event offerings while managing operational logistics including cash handling and sales transactions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management with a focus on sports or recreation venues; prior same sport playing, coaching, and safety instruction experience is highly desirable.
• Strong management skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through team development and leadership initiatives.
• Knowledge of facilities management, operational management, hospitality management, and business management principles.
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, ground safety instruction or related fields are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged.
• Excellent managerial communication skills paired with customer service expertise to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ability to handle budgets efficiently while managing sales activities and cash handling procedures accurately.
• Experience working within sports facilities or event venues with a focus on hospitality service delivery is preferred.
