What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Machine Operator position at Structures USA LLC?
We are looking for an associate machine operator to join our night shift team at Structures USA! The hours are 3:30PM-12:30AM.
Job Duties May Include:
- brake press operator support (40’ press brake)
- operate drill press, large and small
- operate band saw for cutting steel
- use of steel cringing & beveling equipment
- operate sand blasting equipment for large steel components
- moving heavy steel items using a forklift & / or overhead crane safely
- moving large sheets of steel using an overhead crane safely
Requirements:
- Comfortable around machinery & equipment with strong safety habits
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to use a tape measure accurately
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Welding experience would be a plus
- Able to read shop fabrication drawings would be a plus
- Ability to multi-task/cross train on various types of equipment
- Punctual; show up to work on time, every day and work the entire shift
- Able to perform effectively as a team member with good English verbal communication skills
- Able to work on your feet for an entire 9 hour shift
- 1-2 years of experience in heavy steel industry fabrication
- Self-starter with strong work ethic
- The ability to read and write English at a level necessary for successful job performance
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- 18 Years or older
- Must have steel toed boots
- Willingness to work some overtime as required with advanced notice
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
