Structured Plumbing Services, a division of Structured Foundation Repairs, is looking for a dependable, hardworking Plumbing Helper / Registered Plumber’s Apprentice to assist our licensed plumbers with residential plumbing installations and repairs throughout the DFW Metroplex.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with plumbing, construction, excavation, or general labor experience who wants to learn the plumbing trade and build a career with an established, employee-owned company.
You do not need to hold a Journeyman or Tradesman license for this position. However, you must have—or be willing and eligible to obtain—a Texas Plumber’s Apprentice registration before performing plumbing work.
Pay
- $18–$23 per hour, based on plumbing and construction experience

What You’ll Do
- Assist licensed plumbers with sewer and fresh-water repairs
- Carry, organize, and prepare tools and materials
- Help install piping, fittings, cleanouts, valves, and other plumbing components
- Assist with under-slab repairs, tunnels, access excavations, and backfill
- Dig, shovel, remove soil, and prepare work areas
- Measure, cut, and prepare piping under the direction of a licensed plumber
- Protect customers’ homes and help maintain clean, orderly jobsites
- Load and unload trucks and trailers
- Take job photographs and assist with required documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions from the supervising plumber
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas at the end of each job
What We’re Looking For
- No Journeyman or Tradesman license required
- Current Texas Plumber’s Apprentice registration, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one
- Plumbing, construction, excavation, mechanical, or general labor experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work a full schedule
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in Texas weather
- Willingness to enter properly supported plumbing tunnels and excavation areas
- Ability to pass applicable background and driving-record requirements
- Professional and respectful behavior around homeowners and coworkers
