iOS UI/UX Designer

We love it when our products deliver a seamless scanning experience, and so do our customers. We are seeking an experienced, thoughtful and collaborative UI/UX professional to lead the development of a unified design system for our suite of iOS applications that deliver life improving impact.

Overview of the Project

The UI Design contractor will collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketing specialists and other stakeholders to establish a scalable, consistent design language across our iOS mobile applications. The contractor will drive the creation of a comprehensive design system, ensure usability and accessibility best practices, and deliver high-quality, high-tech iOS UI/UX design solutions tailored to the healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design System Creation:

• Creation, management and maintenance of a unified mobile-first design system.
• Develop a scalable design system for Structure’s iOS applications, ensuring a consistent look and feel across all mobile products.
• Define reusable UI components, patterns, and interaction models.
• Apply user-centric design principles to solve complex user and business challenges—especially within regulated domains like healthcare.

UI/UX Design Execution

• Write and maintain design language documentation and usage guidelines.
• Establish accessibility, usability, and platform-specific best practices tailored to Structure’s iOS applications.

UI/UX Design Execution:

• Design user interfaces for new and existing mobile apps, aligned with the design system.
• Translate user needs and features into design requirements, UI components and user flows.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure successful development, release, and launch of world-class apps.

Collaboration:

• Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, regulatory, clinical) to ensure designs meet user needs, technical feasibility, and compliance requirements.
• Provide ongoing support for teams implementing the design system.

What you'll bring:

• 4-8 years of proven experience in UI/UX design with a focus on mobile (iOS) applications.
• Strong expertise in creating design systems and writing design language guidelines.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Strong portfolio showcasing a minimum of five clean, modern interface design systems and iOS mobile app design projects.
• Experience with AR/VR and 3D applications.
• Deep understanding of design fundamentals such as typography, layout, and user psychology.
• Resourceful and tech-savvy, with the ability to seek out and learn new AI, technical, and UI/UX concepts and innovations quickly.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document and articulate design decisions.

Bonus if you have this additional experience:

• Experience in UX research methods (interviews, usability testing, surveys, etc.).
• Experience with Web Design.
• Familiarity with healthcare or regulated industries.

Location and Working Hours

Structure’s R&D center is located in Boulder, Colorado, USA.

This is a remote position. Candidates must be available to work at least 3 hours of overlap with the Central European Time Zone.

Compensation

Compensation will be competitive and based upon candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience and location.
