Summary
The TI Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations for complex commercial interior projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing fast-paced TI projects in occupied and unoccupied environments, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through closeout.
- Manage daily field operations, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and inspections.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain project schedules and proactively resolve field-related issues to minimize delays.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Manage site logistics and ensure clean, organized, and professional job sites.
- Provide mentorship and oversight to assistant superintendents and field staff.
- Participate in constructability reviews and provide input during preconstruction.
- Track and document project progress, including daily reports and photographs.
- Support punch list completion, commissioning, and final turnover.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading complex commercial TI projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules.
- Proficient with construction technology and tools, including scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in occupied buildings, corporate office environments, or high-end finishes.
- Knowledge of MEP systems and sequencing for interior fit-outs.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and trade partners.
