ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. - Coordinates the receipt, delivery, and storage of materials in the plant
- Verifies that incoming shipments match Bills of Lading (BOL’s), purchase orders, packing slips and certificates, if present, for type and amount
- Unpacks and inspects incoming shipments; notifies the Quality Inspector when inspection is needed
- Keeps track of and follows up on material shortages and damaged goods received
- Ensures all shipments are correct and on time
- Maintains receiving and shipping records and keeps database up to date
- Ensures that electronic records accurately reflect what is on the floor
- Selects the most efficient and timely shipping options
- Performs electronic entry of materials into and out of the appropriate system
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by two or more years’ shipping and receiving experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- General knowledge and understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820 as it pertains to the job, on the job training provided
- Skilled in the use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Skilled in basic math including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division
- Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently to achieve customer and Quality objectives
- Skilled in working independently and following through with assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to use reasoning skills including but not limited to comparing, classifying, analyzing and coordinating to minimize duplication of effort
- Ability to organize work for timely completion
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in English, both orally and in writing
