Structural Technologies is the exclusive licensee of VSL® post-tensioning systems in the United States. Structural Technologies is the single source for VSL® products and technical support in the United States - which have been used throughout the world since 1956 to build, repair and strengthen bridges, buildings, tanks, and special structures.
VSL Civil is currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you will be accountable for preparing complex drawings of structures and equipment systems.
This role can will be seated at our Fort Worth branch location.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
Drafting project and mechanical system drawings derived from layouts and sketches
Establishing and following technical specifications and details to prepare drawings and draft designs
Consulting with engineers regarding detail accuracy and coordination with internal team members to make necessary revisions
Determining material needs, performing necessary calculations, and tracking material quantities
Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this position:
3-7 years experience with AutoCAD, preferably structural concrete drawings
Demonstrated ability to read and understand structural drawings
Strong communication skills, able to correspond well with Engineers and Clients
Able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Candidates who are proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, SolidWorks, BIM/Revit, and MS Office Suite may be given preference
Travel nationally 5-10%
