RN Supervisor
Job Summary:
Stroudsburg Post Acute Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated RN Supervisor to join our team. Responsibilities and Standards:
Audits immunization weekly on all guests
Completes admission chart audit on all admissions
Submits high cost meds report- ex: Lovenox, ARixtra, Epogen, Procrit and Aranes
Ensures narcotic Med Refill and Back up med are refilled and maintained
Reviews admission orders for accuracy
Monitors clinical issues or any staffing issues and all other assigned projects as needed
Inputs the 24-hour report electronically on the unit
Sets up discharge instructions on all floors
In-services nursing staff as needed
Completes nursing acuity report daily
Responsible for weekly med room maintenance-returnables expired items, over-the-counter items, and monitors refrigerator items
Completes psychotropic summary every 1st weekend of the month
Sends wound report in a timely manner and ensures follow-up documentation is completed and accurate
Performs skin assessment weekly and ensures follow-up on all documentation and intervention
Completes infection control report as required
Develops care plan on all guests with facility-acquired infections and nosocomial infections
Prepares reports for quarterly meetings as needed
Completes fall incident reports and ensures all documentation is in place as per regulatory agency (State and Ombudsman Standards)
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs assessments related to skin, cardiac, respiratory, GI, neurological, muscular skeletal, renal, and pain
Accurately documents on the following forms: ambulation/restorative care, psychotropic monitoring, pain management, pressure ulcer management/skin assessment, fall prevention strategies, antibiotic documentation, incidents/accidents, and nurses' notes
Accurately and timely completes nursing assessment and data collection upon admission
Contacts physicians for admission orders and reconciles medications
Documents legibly onto POS, reads back and verifies telephone orders, makes appropriate referrals, and transcribes all orders
Facility-Wide Responsibilities and Standards:

Speaks English in patient care areas
Attends mandatory and scheduled In-services/meetings
Arrives to work on time as scheduled
Wears ID appropriately at all times
Demonstrates flexibility in assignment to meet resident/family needs
