What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Coordinator position at Stroudsburg Post Acute Nursing and Rehabilitation?
Admissions Coordinator Requirements:
Implement marketing strategies and promotional activities, including, but not limited to, planning educational lunches in and out of the building
Meets with key referral sources e.g., Eldercare Attorneys, Senior Centers, Physicians' offices, hospitals
Research physicians in our targeted area to partner with our facility
Should be familiar with Lehigh Valley, Carbon County, Monroe County area, and the surrounding community
Sell and promote facility services in PA
Build sales within the assigned area according to goals
Must be creative, self-motivated, and have a pleasant and helpful disposition.
Must have long-term care experience as an external liaison or marketer
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving skills, and apply good judgment based on the principles of sound management
Respond to SWs at hospitals and other facilities about referrals
Review clinical referrals
Familiar with Medicare, Medicaid, HMO
Familiar with PCC
Present tours of the facility to prospective residents
Sign admissions agreements
Attend weekly UR meetings

Monday to Friday/Call Rotation
Admissions Coordinator Education:
Associate (Preferred)
Admissions Coordinator Experience:
Healthcare Admissions: 1 year (Preferred)Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
Skilled Nursing Facility: 1 year (Preferred)
