Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & HR Operations
- Serve as the first-stage reviewer for payroll, collaborating with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate audits, seamless execution, and successful M&A integration into payroll systems.
- Lead our inaugural full 401(k) audit next year with precision and accountability.
- Oversee attendance and time tracking, PTO processes, and HRIS-to-payroll integrity for regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and negotiations for compensation. This includes base salary, bonuses, commissions, and equity awards.
- Architect and manage compensation philosophy and design, focusing on equitable salary bands, comp-ratios, and year-end review cycles.
- Leverage advanced tools such as Excel and PowerBI to build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and insights.
- Administer, optimize, and negotiate employee benefits programs (401(k), HSA, health insurance, wellness, and more) with carriers, brokers, and systems.
- Evaluate benefit delivery models (fully insured, level-funded, self-insured) to balance employee value and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with COBRA, leave administration, workers' compensation, ACA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct benchmarking and research to maintain market competitiveness in both compensation and benefits offerings.
- Execute robust audits across payroll, compensation, and benefits programs to verify accuracy, equity, and compliance.
- Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify optimization opportunities aligned with employee needs and retention goals.
- Champion total rewards integration within your HRIS platforms ensuring clean data flow, accurate reporting, and seamless payroll interfacing.
- Lead strategic improvements and full-scale implementations to future-proof our HR tech stack in relation to the Total Rewards function.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders (HR Business Partners, Finance, Accounting, TA, Field Ops, Revenue) to align total rewards strategy with organizational goals.
- Develop and deliver clear communications on total rewards to employees and leaders. Ensure all stakeholders understand and appropriately value their compensation, benefits, and programs.
- Lead and mentor others in total rewards by building team capability and advancing our maturity in the space.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management, HR, Data Analysis, or related field.
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CCP, CEBS, SHRMSCP) a plus.
- Experience: 8 years in compensation and benefits roles, including a minimum of 4 years in leadership or high-autonomy roles. Ideally, experienced within PE backed, multistate, high-growth companies.
- Demonstrated expertise of Excel: (advanced modeling, pivot tables), PowerBI, and ADP Workforce Now or Workday.
- Strong blend of strategic, financial, and operational skills, with a track record of designing and implementing rewards programs that drive engagement, retention, and cost optimization.
