Working Shop Foreman — Structural Steel Fabrication

We are seeking a hands-on Working Shop Foreman to lead daily fabrication in a small structural steel shop (2–3 person team). This role focuses on mezzanines, stairs, structural frames, rack repair kits, and protection products.
This is a working leadership position — you will fabricate alongside the team while managing workflow, quality, and production pace.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on structural steel fabrication (layout, cutting, fitting, welding)
- Lead and coordinate daily work for a small shop team
- Fabricate mezzanines, stairs, platforms, rack repair kits, and post protectors
- Read shop drawings and maintain quality standards
- Help plan workflow, staging, and job sequencing
- Assist with estimating input and labor planning
Qualifications
- 5 years structural steel fabrication experience
- Strong welding skills (MIG, Stick, Flux-Core)
- Ability to read structural drawings and perform layout independently
- Prior lead or foreman experience preferred
- Mezzanine, stair, or material handling experience a plus
Compensation
- $30–$38/hr depending on experience
