What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard position at Strongbox Security Services, LLC?
General Duties: Professional Security Officer responsible for watching over client site in Watertown, MA. MUST HAVE (or obtain) BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE (suit and tie). Guard will perform access control at main lobby/entry and act as a visual deterrent on site. Responsible for detecting and reporting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. Security Officer must be observant, punctual, respectful, responsible, and able to de-escalate situation as needed.
Hours: Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am
Essential Functions:
- Conducting foot patrols of sites regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
- Conduct access control for foot traffic
- Observe and Report
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows during shift and at end of shift
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify issues
- Create and issue access badges for visitors and employees
- Respond to alarms as required by clients
- Submit daily activity reports using company-provided software
- Provide a professional level of service to clients/customers
Requirements:
- Suit and Tie
- License and Vehicle
- 21 years of age
- Word, Excel, Office experience.
- Pass a CORI(background check)
- Must have full availability (weekends, holidays, overtime)
- Excellent observation skills
- Familiarity with report writing
- Knowledge of legal guidance for area security and public safety
- Tech-savvy (must)
Expectations:
- Ability to stand, walk, and climbs stairs for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to conduct interior and exterior foot patrols.
