Strongbox Security Services, LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Security Officer to join our team and represent us across multiple locations in and around the Marlborough Region. This is a unique opportunity for retired military personnel, former police officers, and correction officers who want to stay active and engaged. This position is for an unarmed and armed position. The rate of pay ranges between sites. The rate of pay for unarmed sites is $18-20. The rate of pay for armed sites is $25-30.

Role Description

As a Floater Security Officer, you'll have the opportunity to utilize your training and experience to ensure the safety and security of a variety of sites including armed events. Your responsibilities include:

• Patrolling: Interior and exterior foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises, providing a visible deterrent.
• Monitory Access: Manage access for vehicles and pedestrians, ensuring that all individuals entering the premises follow protocols.
• Incident Response: Respond quickly and effectively to alarms and incidents, using your sharp observation and decision-making skills.
• Reporting: Documenting incidents with accuracy, utilizing our mobile reporting software.

You will need to maintain a strong physical presence and be ready to act in emergencies, ensuring the security of each site. Some sites will require use of your own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in monitoring, patrolling, and use of security protocols to ensure a safe environment
• Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and visitors professionally
• Ability to handle conflict resolution and emergency response situations calmly and effectively
• Familiarity with operating and managing surveillance equipment
• Attention to detail and ability to document incidents accurately in reports
• Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, such as standing for extended periods and patrolling
• Possession of relevant security certifications; a valid firearm permit is required for armed positions
• Compliance with background check and drug testing requirements
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement is a plus but not required
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Open availability for all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Previous experience in military, law enforcement, or corrections
• Advanced training in areas such as first aid, BLS, or self-defense
• Proficiency with mobile reporting software and tech-savviness
• Knowledge of legal guidelines related to public safety and security operations
