Position Summary
Strong Spirits is looking for a dependable and flexible Relief Operator to join our Bottling team. This position supports daily production by learning and operating multiple pieces of equipment throughout the bottling floor and filling in where needed to keep production running efficiently.
The Relief Operator will work with equipment including the Pase and Polypack, capper, rinser, rotary and inline fillers, and labeler. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing or bottling experience who is comfortable learning different equipment and stepping into different areas based on production needs.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various bottling line equipment to maintain safe and efficient production.
- Provide coverage for other machine operators as needed to keep production running.
- Assist with equipment setup, product changeovers, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
- Communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, or production delays to the Bottling Supervisor.
- Follow established SOPs, safety procedures, and production requirements.
- Assist with other bottling line duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bottling, packaging, production, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to learn and operate multiple types of production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adjust to changing production needs.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
Physical & Work Requirements
This position works in a warehouse and industrial production environment and may involve exposure to alcohol, chemicals, loud noise, and varying temperatures.
Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, reach, and climb as required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around alcohol and other flammable liquids.
Schedule
Monday–Thursday
Overtime may be required based on production needs.
