Overview: Strong Roots Family Clinic is seeking a professional, dependable, and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays an important part in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phones, take messages, and route calls appropriately
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Check patients in and out
- Update patient demographic, insurance, and contact information
- Collect copays and other patient payments as directed
- Scan, upload, and route documents
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions
- Help keep the front desk and waiting area organized
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior receptionist, front desk, customer service, or medical office experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to work well with patients, providers, and coworkers
Essential Functions:
- Frequent interaction with patients, visitors, and staff
- Frequent phone, computer, scanning, and data entry work
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday as needed
