What are the responsibilities and job description for the K-12 Counselor position at Strong-Huttig School District?
All athlete transcripts to coaches in July, electronically
All athlete progress reports and report cards to coaches, electronically
Monitor all students with D average, meet with them, and contact parents
Conduct Small Group and Individual Counseling sessions at high school and elementary based on data and need
Conduct whole class lessons once every three weeks with K-5 graders
Create and maintain a spreadsheet of 504’s, COD’s, and McKinney Vento facilitation for students to verify cycle reports
Facilitate parent meetings at least once each quarter on each campus. There should be at least 8 parent nights next year. This does not include P/T Conferences or Open House
Create spreadsheet of testing groups by accommodation and modifications, small groups, devices checked and ready
Train teachers on classroom tests, interim tests, and summative tests-keep a sign in for each meeting
Share all DTC training ppt. With principals and superintendent
Turn in training dates to principals and superintendent
Arrive by 7:35 and leave no sooner than 4:30 unless otherwise stated
Limit staff conversations unless on break
Manage all 504 child finds, gathering of data and interventions, parent conferences, and maintaining 504 folders and eschool management.
Facilitate District Test Coordinator duties and services to meet all state requirements.
