Mortgage Post Closing Specialist

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Post Closing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have mortgage post-closing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while ensuring loan files are complete, accurate, and delivered in compliance with investor and agency requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Review and audit closed loan packages for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with title companies to obtain outstanding closing documentation.
- Clear investor post-closing and pre-funding conditions in a timely manner.
- Deliver closed loan packages to investors within required deadlines.
- Enter and reconcile data in investor delivery systems, ensuring data integrity and correcting any errors prior to transmission.
- Ensure FHA and VA loans are insured accurately and within required timeframes.
- Transfer MERS registrations to investors within established deadlines.
- Collect and follow up on trailing documents from title companies and county recorder's offices for delivery to servicers and investors..
- Communicate effectively with title companies, loan officers, processors, real estate agents, custodians, investors, and other internal partners to obtain required documentation.
- Maintain compliance with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and investor guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of one year of mortgage industry experience required.
- Previous mortgage post-closing experience preferred.
- Experience working with Encompass Loan Origination System preferred.
- Working knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, ARM, and Jumbo loan programs.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners.
