We are looking for a dedicated employee to help us maintain a clean and safe work site. Our team is highly efficient so we are looking for a motivated person that knows how to show up consistently to work with a good attitude. HOURS:

8 hour shifts. Reporting hours will vary based on the weather and month of the year.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Field Assistant is a seasonal full-time position (40 hours/week) focused on the cultivation & management of cannabis field crops. This job aims to ensure the success and well-being of our field production throughout the growing season. In this position, one will be working alongside our core team as well as independently to complete the task at hand. Field Assistants will scout for pests and disease, monitor plant health, repair irrigation, and participate in infrastructure installation, as well as any other tasks that are needed to cultivate and harvest the crop. This position will also involve monitoring the efficiency & work quality of day labor crews in order to utilize these resources effectively. Likewise, one will be expected to maintain a positive and clean work environment for all employees to work safely, comfortably, and diligently.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Repair irrigation systems
• Scout for pests and disease
• Transplant clones and seedlings
• Installation of drip irrigation, posts, and trellis
• Applying METRC tags
• Monitor plant health
• Monitor day labor crews
• Assist in harvesting the crop, including leafing, cutting, bucking, packing for transport, and data collection
• Perform any other duties assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be 21 or older
• Must be able to repeatedly carry or pickup 50 lbs daily
• Must be able to stand for 7-8 hours daily

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Outdoor facilities at the farm; exposure to heat, cold, rain; work on slippery or uneven surfaces. Required to work an 8-hour shift and some overtime as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual English/Spanish speakers preferred
• Past experience working on an organic farm or in agricultural setting
• Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs
• Willingness to get your hands dirty and get the job done
• Positive attitude and motivation to work hard
