Engineering Summer Intern

JOB SUMMARY

An Engineering Intern gains hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment while working alongside experienced engineers and designers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Collaborates with designers to design and develop tooling, dies, fixtures, and other precision components using CAD/CAM software.
• Supports the prototyping process by assisting in creating prototypes, conducting tests, and analyzing results to validate design concepts.
• Works closely with machinists, toolmakers, and project managers to translate design specifications into manufacturing instructions, ensuring quality and precision in the production process.
• Identifies opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement within the manufacturing workflow and contributes ideas for continuous improvement.
• Maintains accurate documentation of design iterations, manufacturing processes, and test results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience or coursework involving hands-on fabrication, machining, or prototyping.
