Material Planner & Inventory Control Specialist – Linwood, N.C.
The Material Planner & Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that materials and components are available to support production activities. This role helps manage inventory levels, coordinates with internal buyers to order materials, and assists in maintaining smooth and efficient supply chain operations. Individuals in this role will gain foundational experience in planning, procurement, and inventory management.
Material Planner & Inventory Control Specialist responsibilities:
Receive, confirm the accuracy of, and shelve all incoming material shipments. This can be done in conjunction with the Shipping & Receiving team.
Ensure all necessary Production materials are adequately stocked at the point of use and the reserve inventory locations. Materials include paints (primers, base coats, clearcoats), consumables (sandpapers, buffing pads, compounds, bits, mixing cups, stir sticks, Tyvek suits, etc.), PPE (masks, gloves, eye-ware, etc.), tools (DA sanders, buffers, drills, paint guns, etc.), and any other project specific materials required.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder points for all Production materials and communicate to buyers when materials need to be reordered.
Pull (daily) materials necessary to perform scheduled work and ensure Production personnel have all the materials they will need for that day's work.
Monitor consumption of materials vs. expected consumption and escalating any variances to management.
Assist with inspection, packaging and shipping activities as needed.
The Material Planner & Inventory Control Specialist is a key role in Strobels Supply Inc.'s organization. By monitoring and controlling the materials being used to complete Production work, efficiency and profitability gains can be realized. Careful attention to detail and organizational skills are required. Collaborative approach and strong communication skills are also crucial.
This role will be based in Linwood, N.C. and be an hourly position with standard hours between 7:00am and 4:00pm Monday – Friday.
