Strobels Supply, Inc. is looking for motivated and dedicated individuals who want to be part of a growing company! Our buffing division performs a multitude of tasks in buffing transit parts as well as some preparation for painters. Experience required.
Job Information:
· This role is based in Hornell, N.Y.
· Starting rate of pay is $17.50-$20.00/hour depending on experience and qualifications

Core Skills and Abilities
- Surface Knowledge: Understanding different types of paint, clear coats, and how to prep a surface safely.
- Machine Operation: Knowing how to handle a rotary buffer at varying speeds without damaging the transit part.
- Compound Selection: Experience matching the right rubbing compounds, polishes, and pads (foam, wool, or microfiber) to the correct paint hardness.
- Physical Stamina: Manual dexterity and the physical endurance to operate heavy machinery and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Spotting micro-marring, swirl marks, or missed spots to ensure a mirror-like finish.
The Commercial/Industrial Buffing is a key role in Strobels Supply’s organization. Hands-on mechanical skills, careful attention to detail, and good work ethic are required. Collaborative approach and strong communication skills are also crucial.
