Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to route schedules and traffic laws
- Load and unload shipments or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by communicating clearly,
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as organizing inventory, moving supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace
- Verify delivery details, complete necessary documentation, and obtain signatures upon successful delivery
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Support route planning and driving logistics to maximize efficiency and timely deliveries
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver of Furniture
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly;
- Warehouse experience including manual moving equipment and furniture required
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and traffic regulations for commercial drivers
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
