We’re a fast-moving, family-run business in the mining game, and we’re on the hunt for a sharp, switched-on Purchasing Officer to join our team. This isn’t a slow, paper-pushing role, it’s hands-on, proactive, and critical to keeping our parts and service teams moving. If you're someone who thrives under pressure, loves solving supply problems fast, and can build solid relationships with suppliers, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure goods and services in line with operational needs and budget requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Use procurement and inventory systems in accordance with company policies
• Oversee inventory control, review of MIN/MAX levels, and management of obsolete or slow-moving items, maintain control of fixed pricing system
• Raise, review, and process purchase orders
• Monitor open orders and resolve delivery or supply issues as needed
• Liaise with suppliers to evaluate pricing, lead times, and product quality
• Coordinate supplier deliveries and resolve shipping issue
• inventory checks to maintain accuracy
• Assist Accounts with invoice matching, receipting, and discrepancy resolution
• Reporting as required
  
  

About You

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a purchasing or procurement role within the mining industry
• Knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and warehouse compliance procedures
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
