Primary Purpose:
Under direct supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the assigned administration building.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- One year of clerical experience in office setting
- Bilingual Required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receives and directs incoming calls, takes reliable messages and routes to appropriate staff.
- Greets and directs visitors to the central administration office.
- Assists public, staff and students as needed.
- Creates an inviting, professional environment that projects a positive image for the district.
- Prepares and places orders for the supply warehouse.
- Processes supply room orders.
- Maintains computerized files including reports, employee roster and mailing lists.
- Sorts, distributes, or delivers mail, messages and other documents.
- Assists with preparation of materials for mailing.
- Provides clerical assistance as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Serves as the file clerk.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- All work must be performed on site.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent district wide travel; occasional statewide travel; Work must be performed on site.
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress
