About The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Risk Analytics to lead our risk management and analytics initiatives. This individual will be responsible for providing effective oversight of the company’s enterprise credit and risk management; developing and implementing the risk assessment framework; management of credit policy; developing and improving credit decisioning frameworks and algorithms. The Vice President of Risk Analytics will join our management team as the company’s risk leader with responsibility for developing and leading a credit risk strategy that will facilitate ambitious growth, while still maintaining an appropriate level of quality for the portfolio. In addition to developing all the required frameworks, models and policies and evaluating transactions, s/he will be a key strategic partner to executive management in developing and implementing the growth strategy of the business. What You're Doing

• Develop framework for portfolio risk assessment including evaluation of credit and financial performance across varied lending products and industry segments
• Understand applicable credit policies, industry regulations and the requisite impact of those governance items to prospective new partners or product initiatives
• Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal and external constituencies
• Utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, forecasting and new program due diligence
• Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on expected portfolio performance and areas of potential risk and/or opportunity
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the company’s reputation and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What We're Looking For

• 5 years in auto lending, credit risk analytics, and risk management with financial institutions including the development of credit policy, underwriting standards, and internal risk scoring.
• Exposure to many or all segments of the lending lifecycle (acquisitions, underwriting, product development, customer management, collections, recoveries, and fraud).
• Experience in developing credit policy and credit algorithms with auto finance lending.
• Deep expertise in credit performance and dynamics, grounded in through-the-economic-cycle experience and insights.
• Experience in developing monitoring and reporting that enables efficient tracking and managing of lending portfolios.
• Track record of creative thinking and approaches to drive incremental and step changes in value generation.
• Ability to influence across multiple functional areas to support decision-making and spending.
• Formative experience at an organization with a strong analytical culture.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in a quantitative discipline.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights through effective financial report writing.
