About the Role

Strider is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic-minded Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role will lead Strider's international financial planning, forecasting, and analytics efforts. Serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, and manager of the FP&A team, this leader will act as a critical operator in ensuring we adequately invest in and execute Strider's strategic growth initiatives.

You will shape Strider's multi-year financial strategy, provide actionable insights to enable data-driven decision-making, and build a world-class FP&A team that supports our continued, expeditious global growth. In this role, you will prepare board-level financial materials and analyses that support the CFO's leadership in presenting to the Board of Directors. This is a rare opportunity to influence the financial trajectory of a mission-driven technology company at the forefront of global strategic intelligence. We need a CFO-minded leader who will act like an owner, demonstrate proactive bias for action, and execute relentlessly to enable Strider's expeditious and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate financial performance into business insights that inform strategic decisions and operational priorities.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team that partners effectively and proactively with business leaders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement, within FP&A, Strider Finance, and the worldwide Strider team.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Own the annual operating plan, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and rolling multi-year financial models. Closely monitor short- and long-term revenue, expense, and cash forecasts, and partner with leadership to ensure the strong financial health of the business.
  • Implement processes, tools, and metrics to improve forecasting accuracy, agility, and transparency across the organization.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Deliver timely, insightful, and high-quality analyses and presentation content to support the CFO and executive leadership team.
  • Partner with CFO, VP of Accounting, and senior leaders to prepare board-level financial materials and ensure accuracy, clarity, and strategic relevance; direct board presentations will be led by the CFO.
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and trends, and recommend actions to improve performance and optimize capital allocation.

Fundraising, M&A, and Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead financial modeling and due diligence for fundraising, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Lead evaluation and tracking of ROI, synergies, and new business opportunities to drive value creation.

Process & Systems Improvement

  • In partnership with the VP of Accounting, standardize and automate financial reporting and planning processes to scale with growth.
  • Champion adoption of modern FP&A tools and systems, including the latest AI-powered technologies, that optimize team performance while enhancing data quality and speed to insight.

Execution & Financial Performance

  • Partner with business leaders to translate financial targets into actionable plans, ensuring accountability and alignment across the organization.
  • Closely monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, proactively identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
  • Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and support the achievement of company financial objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to remove barriers to execution and ensure timely delivery of financial results.
