- Lean on We is a recovery based organization partnered with Stride Sober Living, focused on breaking down barriers, and rebuilding positive lifestyles for individuals experiencing homelessness, incarceration, and substance abuse. Each individual will be surrounded with support, tools, and resources, sober housing, and community to assist them in their journey towards their individual goals of lifelong sobriety, wellness, fulfillment, and the rebuilding of relationships and dreams. Principal Duties and Personal Attributes as a Peer Recovery Coach:
- Assist individuals with recovery planning, relapse prevention, housing needs, and education/employment.
- Assisting in resume building and job search.
- Ensuring that each client has access to our addiction specialists, trauma informed therapist, DUI, or IOP services when applicable.
- Exhibit a nonjudgmental approach, listen with empathy, and have the ability to support people in discovering their own solutions
- Promotes collaboration and sharing of resources for client in community, food, clothing, transportation, recreation, medical, insurance, housing, shelters and employment, as appropriate.
- As appropriate, teaches clients problem-solving techniques, how to identify and overcome fears and combat negative self-talk.
- Facilitate at least one Recovery Support Group a week in house.
- Completes clinical notes on time and efficiently.
- Manages time well and is great at multi-tasking.
Must have an ability to share personal lived experience in a way that empowers others!
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
- Experience working with or in tandem with peer support networks
- Peer Coaching certification (CCAR or other) preferred

- Do you have experience in holding recovery groups?
