Job Summary
Stride Pedorthic Center is a clinical care provider of prescription and prefabricated orthotics, braces and shoes for patients with gait related issues. We are seeking an organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing a wide range of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline daily operations, facilitate effective communication, and uphold the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk
- Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR).
- Verify patient insurance information, including health insurance knowledge and Medicare details.
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and handle inquiries efficiently
- Support clinical staff by preparing charts, reviewing documentation, and managing medical office administrative support tasks
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers via phone communication or in-person interactions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office role or front office environment.
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; ability to handle multiple software platforms effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology, health information management, and clinical confidentiality policies (HIPAA compliance)
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and record keeping
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment
- Prior office experience in a healthcare setting or dental clinic experience is advantageous
