What are the responsibilities and job description for the Smog Technician position at Strictly Toy-Ondas?
Very busy automotive shop family owned and operated looking for a SMOG Technician to join our team. Our shop has a very dedicated customer base which has been built through years of trust and honest work.
Applicants must :
* Have SMOG Certification
* Be able to work Full time job (M-F 8-5) 1 hr lunch from 12-1, Never Weekends!
* Perform careful, thoughtful work with few to no comebacks
* Provide a current drivers' license with clean DMV printout
* Work in a team environment, and apply knowledge to help fellow technicians
* Critical thinking and problem solving
* Perform work with intense attention to detail
* Have a consistent attendance record
* Have a positive "can do" attitude
* Have an basic understanding of how a car works
Bonus if you can:
* Be able to perform extensive testing, diagnosing and repairing of automobiles
* Be proficient in electrical diagnosis and familiar with CAN communication systems
* Be capable of using all diagnostic resources (factory diagnostics software, service manuals, Mitchell) in order to increase efficiency and productivity
* Be able to use factory and aftermarket scan tools
* Be familiar with OBD1 and OBD2 on-board diagnostics systems, able to troubleshoot vehicle issues regardless of year/make/model
