What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Strick Trailers?
Strick Trailers, LLC, is currently recruiting a candidate who has experience painting in an industrial environment, working on a moving line.
Candidates must have experience in the following summary of essential job functions:
- Industrial SPRAY and paint application
- The use of air spray, airless and air assisted airless paint equipment
- Working with two-part urethane and epoxy paint materials
- Industrial Blasting
- Must be able to understand how to apply primer, paint and maintain equipment associated with paintings such as: pressure pots, paint guns, paint hoses and paint booths
- Prepare part surfaces for application of coating to ensure proper adhesion of the paint, which include shot blasting and making of parts
- Touch up defective areas of painted items
- Perform quality checks both before and after paint application
- Assist in other areas as needed to perform other duties assigned
Candidates must also meet the following requirements:
- Must be able to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Can perform frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Must be able to work in a team environment to achieve production goals
- Must successfully pass a Pulmonary Function Test before beginning position
- Must successfully complete a physical evaluation, drug screen and background check prior to beginning work.
Pay:
- Painters-starting rate of $17.90, increase to $18.40 at 6/M and $19.90 at 12/M
- Employees are considered for advancement opportunities to increase pay as skills are developed
