Duties
- Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other hand or power tools
- Assist with construction tasks such as framing, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, siding installation, and metal stud framing as needed
- Perform restoration work including water damage remediation, mold remediation, and structural repairs to restore surfaces to their original condition or improve durability
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute fixture installation, door hanging, cabinetry setup, and other detailed finishing tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting combined with knowledge of carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), drywall finishing, plastering, stucco application, siding work, and restoration industry practices
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), scaffolding equipment and other construction machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of working independently or within a team environment
