Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Deliver individual and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute emotional distress or suicidal ideation, ensuring safety and appropriate referrals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including case management for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records following HIPAA guidelines.
- Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with advances in mental health counseling, ICD coding updates (ICD-9/ICD-10), and best practices for behavioral health interventions.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW or equivalent) with active state certification.
- NEBRASKA Licensed!
- Provisional or Independently Licensed Encouraged to Apply!
- Proven experience providing psychotherapy across diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or community mental health programs.
- Proficiency in telehealth therapy platforms combined with strong communication skills for effective client engagement remotely.
