Job Summary
Streicher Construction, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator experienced in Commercial, Industrial, Institutional and Residential Construction to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment necessary for project completion.
- Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate project timelines and deliverables.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to assess project requirements effectively.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
- Monitor ongoing projects to track costs against estimates and provide updates as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of construction documents.
- Strong knowledge of general construction estimating.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to perform take-offs from plans/construction documents with great attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and subcontractors and in reporting to company management.
- Ability to analyze data critically and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Problem resolution skills to effectively manage deficiencies through performance.
Compensation- $80,000 minimum based on experience plus performance-based bonus.
