Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Insulation Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on various construction sites and possess a strong understanding of insulation installation techniques. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring energy efficiency and building integrity through precise insulation application. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and collaborating with other trades to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials in walls, ceilings, floors, and attics according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine insulation requirements.
- Utilize hand tools such as knives, tape measures, and caulking guns, as well as power tools including drills and saws.
- Apply related construction skills such as framing, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and trim carpentry when necessary.
- Perform fabrication tasks to customize insulation components for specific project needs.
- Assist with construction site preparation, including framing, metal stud framing, or masonry work as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or insulation installation preferred.
- Knowledge of construction estimating is a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or metal stud framing is advantageous.
- Experience with plastering, stucco application, caulking, roofing, framing carpentry, or concrete finishing is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and site procedures.
- Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required by specific projects.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
