Role Description
Illuminate the future by joining our team of engineers developing sustainable solar-powered lighting products. Streetleaf's products have applications that range from sidewalks and parking lots to roadways and more. This is an excellent career opportunity for an engineer who wants to gain hands-on experience and knowledge across various electrical engineering categories.
Key Responsibilities
As a new addition to our small development team, you will immediately be making meaningful contributions while being able to learn fast by having exposure to many parts of the product and design processes, such as:
- Supporting system architecture and component electronics integration
- Creating wiring diagrams to optimize wire harness designs
- Conceptualizing and designing solutions for new products
- Supporting prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting
- Integrating and validating third-party components
- Collaborating with mechanical engineering on packaging integration
- Interfacing with contract manufacturers and suppliers
- Creating and executing test plans and documenting results
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Strong fundamentals in circuit analysis and electronics
- Desire to learn and work across multiple technical areas
- Clear communication and ability to work in a team environment
- Efficient organizational and task management methods-ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks appropriately
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with embedded systems/microcontrollers/programming, power system, batteries, or solar applications, PCB design or schematic capture
- Familiarity with basic lab equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, etc.)
- Exposure to wireless technologies (cellular, LoRa, BLE, etc.)
