Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent guest services throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for processing payments.
- Address any guest concerns or inquiries promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus, enhancing understanding of food preparation processes.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
