Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow.
- Take orders accurately using square POS systems, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales while maintaining genuine enthusiasm.
- Provide attentive guest service by answering questions about menu options, food safety procedures, and restaurant amenities.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and manage basic math calculations for bills and tips.
- Assist with food handling, packaging orders for hand off, refilling food trays, and maintaining cleanliness standards in compliance with sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and uphold food safety standards in food preparation areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems including square
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and basic food handling procedures.
- Experience working in food settings is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential.
