Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and physically fit General Laborer to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing construction sites, cleaning debris, loading/unloading materials, and assisting skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians). Betterteam 1Key Responsibilities
- Site Preparation/Cleanup: Clean and clear debris, hazardous materials, and waste from job sites to maintain safety.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials and tools to proper locations.
- Structural Assistance: Erect and disassemble scaffolding, bracing, and temporary structures.
- Tool/Machine Operation: Operate equipment such as drills, air hammers, concrete mixers, and surveying equipment.
- Site Maintenance: Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth to grade specifications.
- Support Trade Workers: Assist carpenters, masons, and other specialized workers in their tasks. Randstad USA 5
Requirements & Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more, stand, walk, and climb throughout the day.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction is preferred but not always required.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of, and commitment to, safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Reliability: Strict adherence to attendance and punctuality standards.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions and communicate with team members.
- Age/Licensing: Minimum 18 years of age; a valid driver's license required
