Position Summary
The Kitting Associate is responsible for accurately assembling product kits, promotional packages, or 3PL orders according to customer specifications. This role ensures all components are present, properly packaged, and meet quality standards prior to shipment. The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble product kits, marketing materials, or mail fulfillment projects according to job tickets, pick lists, or client specifications.
- Verify accuracy and quality of all components before final packaging.
- Operate basic packaging equipment such as shrink-wrap machines, heat sealers, and tape dispensers.
- Maintain accurate counts and document completed quantities on job tickets or electronic logs.
- Work collaboratively with team members and leads to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
- Assist in staging, labeling, and palletizing completed kits for shipping.
- Report material shortages or quality issues to the Kitting Lead or Supervisor promptly.
- Follow all company safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures.

Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
- Prior experience in fulfillment, kitting, or assembly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, pick lists, and written instructions.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate verbally in English
- Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and listening
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and handle materials.
- Occasionally lift or move boxes up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in a warehouse or production environment with variable temperatures
Work Environment
- Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Employee is frequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles.
- Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat while working next to driers.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
