Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swimming Coach to join our team at our Meridian and Boise locations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming and a strong commitment to educating and developing swimmers of all skill levels. This role involves teaching swimming techniques, promoting water safety, and fostering a positive environment that encourages personal growth and teamwork among participants.
Duties
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of individual swimmers and teams.
- Educate swimmers on proper techniques, stroke mechanics, and water safety practices.
- Conduct regular practice sessions, ensuring that all participants are engaged and improving their skills.
- Monitor swimmer progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Help at swim meets, competitions, and other events to promote team spirit and camaraderie.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a supportive environment for athletes.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to foster discipline and respect among swimmers.
Skills
- Proficient in swim techniques with the ability to educate others effectively.
- Experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey instructions and motivate swimmers.
- Ability to manage group dynamics and implement behavior management strategies.
- Certified or able to obtain USA Swimming Coaching Certification
- CPR/AED Certified or able to obtain certification
