What are the responsibilities and job description for the SMT Technician position at Streamline Electronics Manufacturing (SEM), Inc.?
The Production (Assembly/Process) Operator is responsible for following procedures for product assembly, equipment operation and safety requirements as documented in the company's quality system.
- Operate, debug & troubleshoot issues with SMT Production Lines.
- Debug Program, Frist Article Machine Debug, of SMT Line for a given NPI.
- Install & maintain SMT Equipment,
- Troubleshoot, repair equipment as needed.
- Follow and Execute Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, as needed.
- Read and interpret assembly documents including BOM, drawings, and instructions.
- Verify placed components on the board for their alignment, polarities, description, and part numbers. Read / verify the values of the part during Debug.
- Follow instructions from the SMT supervisor.
- Clean and maintain work area.
Candidate Requirements, the candidate must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints and schematics.
- Manual dexterity required for operating equipment and computers.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.
- 2 year experience as SMT Technician, with working knowledge to perform all mentioned duties.
- Some familiarity with Fuji Flexa, NEXIM, XPFW, AIMX, Momentum, Heller, IBL-VP, a plus point.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
