Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of month-end close activities, including workpapers, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for Controller review.
- Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
- Assist with financial analysis of monthly and quarterly results, providing insights and recommendations.
- Identify gaps in existing accounting processes and proactively design, develop, and implement improved workflows, controls, and standard operating procedures.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to document key processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Support areas including billing, AP, AR, treasury, taxes, and technical accounting as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and schedules.
- Interpret accounting data and prepare internal reports to support management decision-making.
- Consistently exercise independent judgment in areas of significance, helping to elevate accounting operations.
- Drive efficiency through standardization, automation, and best-practice implementation across the accounting function.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a mid-size or large corporate environment or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; CPA or CPA progression is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel (vlookup/xlookup, SUMIFS, pivot tables) and MS Office; experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP strongly preferred.
- Experience identifying process gaps, improving workflows, and implementing new accounting procedures.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a naturally curious mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with data analytics, process automation, or RPA tools is a plus.
- Desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative, continuous-improvement environment.
